Suzanne Anton

Before entering politics, Suzanne Anton worked as a mathematics teacher in Nigeria and Portugal and was a Crown Counsel lawyer. Her many years as a volunteer and her advocacy for better sport facilities and programs for youth led to a successful run for the Park Board in 2002. In 2005, she was elected to Vancouver City Council.

Ian Robertson

Ian Robertson is a 2nd term Commissioner on the Park Board. As Chair in 2006-2007, he led the Park Board effectively in responding to massive storm damage in Stanley Park. A resident of Vancouver for more than 20 years, Ian has a strong record of community service and leadership.

Ken Denike

Ken Denike is an incumbent member of the Vancouver School Board, where he has been Chair from 1986-1988, 1995-1966, and 2005-2007. A graduate of the University of British Columbia's School of Community and Regional Planning and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, he is faculty emeritus at UBC and the recipient of numerous awards. Ken has been recognized as a strong advocate for high-quality public education and fair funding for public schools.

Carol Gibson served as Vice-Chair of the Vancouver School Board. She is passionately committed to public education; to creating high quality learning environments for every student; and to accomplishing this in ways that foster professionalism, accountability, fiscal responsibility, and cooperation between various levels of government.
