CARMEN CHO School Trustee
Carmen was born and raised in Vancouver and completed her BSc in Biopsychology at UBC in 1993. She began her career in Financial Services in 1996 working as an Assistant and Branch Administrator. In 2000, she relocated to Toronto with her husband and lived there for 13 years. While in Toronto she continued her work in the Financial industry in training, development, and coaching of financial advisors. In 2013, she returned to Vancouver with her husband and their 3 children.
Carmen has been a stay at home mother which has allowed her the opportunity to be very involved in her children’s schools and activities. She has been active on the school PAC at Queen Elizabeth as Volunteer Coordinator and Co-Chair. She has experience in event planning, fundraising, and program coordination.
Having three children with very different needs, Carmen has experienced both challenges and successes in the public school system. She is a strong supporter of public schools and feels strongly that they are the foundation of our communities. Carmen will bring a practical perspective to the school board drawing on her own experience as well as that of other parents in her community.
Carmen lives in the Dunbar community with her husband Jason, their sons Nicholas (15) & Christopher (12) and their daughter Julia (10).
