      WHAT’S AT STAKE

Our city is at a tipping point. Vancouverites are frustrated by affordability challenges, by the decline of core services, and by the lack of accountability at City Hall.

We know it doesn’t have to be this way. Vancouverites deserve an affordable, liveable, inclusive community – and that’s exactly what the NPA wants to achieve.

The Non-Partisan Association is a group of like-minded Vancouverites who want a better city. We’re focused not on left-wing or right-wing ideology, but on delivering solutions that work.

In the election this October, you have a clear choice. A future where Vancouverites have to leave the city they love – or a future where we can stay in Vancouver and build the city we all want. More of the same failed ideological politics – or a practical, results-focused, non-partisan approach that will restore common sense to City Hall.

      WHAT’S AT STAKE

After 10 years of Vision Vancouver rule, our City is a mess. Vancouver is gripped by an affordability crisis that is threatening to destroy our city. Faced with rising rents and mortgage payments, out-of-reach home prices, combined with incomes that have flatlined and small businesses that are failing – many Vancouverites feel that they have no choice but to leave the city that they love. After all, who can see a future here for the next generation if things don’t change, and fast? Only Ken Sim and the NPA have the experience and ability to bring a practical, non-ideological and non-partisan approach that will restore sanity to City Hall and tackle the affordability crisis head-on.

      OUR PRIORITIES

Ken Sim and the NPA Team have the experience and ability to deliver the change Vancouver needs. Our commitments to you will be achievable, affordable, and realistic. Stay tuned for our full platform in the coming weeks.

      Liveability

Vancouverites are finding it more difficult to live and work in their own city. Our top priority is attainable housing options for Vancouverites to rent and buy – breaking the building permit logjam at City Hall, introducing smarter zoning with strong, meaningful public consultation, and working effectively with non-profits, the private sector, and other levels of government.

      Accountability

Our city taxes have been increasing at a record pace, and that needs to stop. We’ll launch a full review of the City’s books and restore a focus on core services at City Hall. The NPA will get Vancouver on solid financial footing, and make sure your tax dollars are spent responsibly to deliver the services you rely on every day.

      Mobility

Our transportation network needs to keep pace with the city’s growth and meet the needs of all Vancouverites. We’ll tackle congestion with a healthy balance between transit, cars, cycling, and walking.
