Tuesday night, we officially unveiled our all-star slate of NPA City Council and Parks Board candidates – the men and women who will join me in making Vancouver safe and affordable after the next civic election.
And I have YOU to thank for all of it.
Through thick and thin, you’ve stood by the NPA and helped lay the groundwork for the upcoming campaign.
And now, thanks to you, momentum is on our side.
Will you help me keep it going?
The single best thing you can do to support our new NPA team and maximize the momentum coming out of last night is click here to make an immediate donation of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, or even the maximum allowable gift of $1250.
Your donation will help purchase signs, literature, advertisements, and more to support our great Council candidates:
Melissa De Genova, who is currently serving her second term as a Vancouver City Councillor and was previously elected to the Vancouver Park Board. Councillor De Genova is a strong advocate for seniors, working with both federal and provincial governments and the community to secure funding and move forward with a seniors centre in Southeast Vancouver.
Elaine Allan, an industry-leading executive. As CEO of Skills Canada – BC, she helps build the economy by promoting skilled trades and technology careers to youth through Olympic-style competitions, in-school programs, conferences for young women in trades, and online challenges.
Cinnamon Bhayani, a former Intelligence Officer with the Canada Border Services Agency who has interdicted multi-kilo drug shipments and interviewed known drug smugglers and suspected terrorists.
Ken Charko, a business and community leader in the Dunbar area. He is the owner and proprietor of the Dunbar Theatre, a staple in the community and an internationally recognized independent theatre.
Mauro Francis, who was born and raised in the same East Van community that he and his fiancée, Sydney, call home today. Mauro is the Executive Director of the South Vancouver Community Policing Centre, an organization where volunteers from all walks of life devote their time to addressing the pressing issues of community safety that impact our community each and every day.
Arezo Zarrabian, a Crime Analyst for the Vancouver Police Department who studied Criminology and Political Science at Simon Fraser University. During the course of her studies, Arezo was fortunate to have a paid internship in Washington, DC, working for the congressional committee on Homeland Security.
And your gift will help elect NPA Park Board members:
Tricia Barker, a certified personal trainer specializing in older adults who wish to live healthy and more productive lives. She has a deep connection with the local Scottish community, sits on various boards, and is the past president of the St. Andrew’s & Caledonian Society.
Ray Goldenchild, who came to Canada from the Democratic Republic of Congo as a young boy and leveraged the power of sport to integrate himself into a new country and culture. Ray runs a sports management consulting company based in South Vancouver and volunteers his time with several youth sports organizations.
Dave Pasin, a businessman who built a career in developing and promoting safe, green, environmentally friendly technologies that improve safety for workers and consumers while also lessening environmental impact. Dave is a graduate of the University of Victoria and attended Seattle Pacific University for post-graduate work in Community Counselling.
Matt Pregent, a professional photographer and travel consultant with an extensive background in lifestyle and tourism. Matt is an advocate for those in the disability community.
Our NPA team is ready to hit the ground running and build on the incredible momentum your support has made possible.
But we won’t be able to make the most of the opportunities before us and lead a new NPA government to City Hall without your continued support.
So please, click here to donate generously today and help the NPA build a bright future for Vancouver.
